The IEEE Student Branch of VJECT was inaugurated in September 2005 with the aim of bringing the students closer to the technological world and thereby helping them to be aware of the rapidly changing world of technology. All major societies like Computer society, Power Energy Society, and affinity groups like Women in engineering were a part of the SB from its formation time itself. There is a special interest group on Humanitarian technology under IEEE in the same SB. There is a total of 267 students under the SB and organized many events so far. SB had a reach in the Kerala section through the presentation of four projects under IEEE SIGHT HAC. Members of SB hold respective positions in HUB and IEEE CS Kerala Section. In the later years, the SB was able to maintain its momentum and visibility and has emerged as a leading professional SB in the Kerala Section. The IEEE SB of VJECT still continues to be in that momentum even today with committed members still working for its upliftment.
