ABOUT US
The IEEE Signal Processing Society, world’s premier professional society and IEEE’s first ever society, started its kerala chapter in the year 2014, with an initial member count of 20. Within a short span of time the chapter member count grew to more than 824 including 118 Professional Members, 33 Graduate members and 673+ student members over 27 local chapter across Kerala Section. The chapter maintains a high standard of professionalism and technical competency so as to incubates the exchange of information among the community, thus focusing on the innovations shaping the future of signal processing and the future of our world.

The Signal Processing Society, founded as IEEE’s first society in 1948, is the world’s premier association for signal processing engineers and industry professionals. Engineers around the world look to the Society for information on the latest developments in the signal processing field. Its deeply rooted history spans almost 70 years, featuring a membership base of more than 19,000 deeply interested and involved signal processing engineers, academics, industry professionals and students who are all part of a dynamic global community – spanning 100 countries worldwide. SPS serves its members through high quality publications, conferences, technical and educational activities, and leadership opportunities. Its goal is to keep members abreast of the latest information and to serve the public at large.
