REFLECTO WISP - REFLECTS YOUR THOUGHTS

REFLECTO WISP – Reflects Your Thoughts was an online article writing competition conducted by the IEEE SPS Kerala Chapter. The competition aimed at encouraging participants to share their ideas and thoughts on the topic of innovation and technology for gender equality. The competition was conducted online using Google Forms and Instagram. Daily quizzes related to women in engineering were displayed through the official Instagram page of IEEE SPS Kerala Chapter and were available through the Instagram story on 5th, 6th, and 7th March from 6 pm. The articles submitted through google form were evaluated by a judge, and the top nine submissions were shared as posts through the official Instagram handle.
The main score was based on the likes and comments of the posts. The articles that received the maximum responses were considered for the prize. The topic was clearly focused, and the word limit for the same was 250. The competition received an overwhelming response, with 30 participants submitting their articles. The competition helped increase member engagement and boosted the social media handle’s reach, which almost tripled. The daily engagements also increased, and the online quiz conducted simultaneously increased the exposure of the social media handles.
The preliminary judging was done by Prof. Seema Safar, WISP Chairperson, IEEE SPS Kerala Chapter. The winner of the competition was Jyothika Nithin from SCT College of Engineering Trivandrum and she was awarded prizes worth 500/-.
