WEB DEVELOPMENT BOOTCAMP

WEB DEVELOPMENT BOOTCAMP: a 4-day bootcamp conducted by the IEEE SPS Kerala Chapter, aimed at encouraging participants to learn about web development and its applications, and ReactJS . The speaker was Mr. Sojin Antony, who is a software developer at Simplogics. He is also a project lead and full-stack developer.

The bootcamp was conducted online using Google Forms and Zoom. The sessions were also livestreamed through YouTube. The session was mainly about web development (front-end and back-end), HTML, CSS, ReactJS, and its web applications.  The Github platform was also used by the speaker as well as the students.

The bootcamp received an overwhelming response, with more than 100 participants attending the sessions, resulting in positive outreach and member engagement among many students across engineering colleges in Kerala. The session got positive reviews as well.

Certificates were awarded to the participants who have attended all the sessions and submitted their projects on time.

The training programme was done at Gyaan Innovation Lab-IIIT-Kottayam. Where the students got hands-on training from the experienced faculties on HTML, CSS, Node.js, React.js and AWS. After the three days training programme students got divided into a group of 10 and assigned to their respective internship field, which was done online. As a part of it the participants developed a full stack website for an online merchandise company and hosted it on AWS.

The bootcamp received an overwhelming response, with more than 98 participants within a short span of time, resulting in positive outreach and member engagement among many students across engineering colleges in Kerala. The session got positive reviews as well.

Certificates were awarded to the participants upon completion of the project.
